The second annual World Lewy Body Day is being marked today, 28 January 2025.
28 January is the birthday of neurologist and neuropathologist Dr Fritz Jacob Heinrich Lewy who discovered Lewy bodies in 1912. Organisations from eleven countries, including the UK Lewy Body Society, are taking part in this awareness raising event for Lewy body dementia (LBD).
