BBC Morning Live features item on people with dementia going missing
BBC Morning Live has run an item on their programme entitled: ‘Missing with dementia’.
The item was inspired by research University College London (UCL) are doing, building on work from the University of East Anglia, that relates to people with dementia going missing. BBC Morning Live quoted a statistic that 70% of people with dementia may go missing after their diagnosis.
The programme includes practical tips to help families, such as The Herbert Protocol which we’ve previously reported on here: https://journalofdementiacare.co.uk/?s=Herbert+Protocol
